Join us after disembarking from your TSS Earnslaw cruise and relax on the lakeside terrace as the fragrant aromas waft by and the chef cooks a selection of delicious food on the barbecue. A combination of fresh salads and crusty bread complement the sizzling food cooked to perfection on the grill perfectly!

Catering to both meat eaters and vegetarians, a range of meal types are on offer including meat for the outdoor grill consisting of Cardrona lamb, spiced chicken, shoulder of pork, local Zamora sausages and Southland beef, along with a veggie-based fare with a selection of fresh salads, roast vegetables and a vegetarian dish of the day. You will also be delighted in a selection of desserts including chocolate mousse, cakes, ice-cream, fruit and cheese platters. Once you've eaten your fill of lunch, you'll have ample time to join in a walking tour of the farmland and view the farm animals in their fields and paddocks while exploring the extensive lakeside gardens that cover the area. A deliciously wholesome day in this lovely region near Queenstown!

Tours depart from the Earnslaw Visitor Centre, Steamer Wharf, Queenstown daily at 10am and 12pm all year round (excluding survey period)
Please ensure you check-in at least 15 minutes prior to departure
Parking in Summer months can be challenging, please ensure you allow ample time to park your car and check in for your departure
All vouchers must be exchanged for boarding passes prior to boarding

On Christmas Day (25th December), the BBQ Lunch option will be replaced with a special Christmas menu and a glass of sparkling wine with a midday departure only. There is no farm demonstration on this day

Bost was great

Bost was great, I'd been meaning to take this trip on my last couple of visits. We love being on the water and the old steamer is something special. The farm tour was fun, probably the only disappointment was the lunch venue. The advertising indicated alfresco dining with views back to Queenstown. Had we known the outdoor area was being renovated, we would have given the lunch a miss.. it was nice food, but there are plenty of other options in this part of the world. I'd check with operators before including dining, that the venue is open and the experience is available.

All 10 of us had a great time thank you

All 10 of us had a great time thank you. Your counter staff at the Queenstown Office were extremely efficient and courteous. The professional waiting staff at Walter Peak (Chloe and Jeff) and our own wonderful antique table inside absolutely made the BBQ experience. With all those people on the 10 am boat the staff at Walter Peak made us feel special..difficult sometimes when there are so many people. I do think though that an Asian/Chinese interpreter around the food queues for the BBQ would be most helpful as the constant almost frenzied pushing in, particularly with elbows was unacceptable and could be controlled. Again thank you. We loved it.

My wife and I went to the Queenstown TSS Earnslaw steam ship to Walter Peak Farm for a sheep sheering demonstration. We also had a magnificent gourmet BBQ lunch with was absolutely truly delightful, I would definitely do this all again.
