Tweed Eco Cruises
Help code: 3410-20B
Enjoy a relaxing 3.5hr scenic Tweed River cruise through sugar cane fields, sub tropical rainforest with optional lunch. Its hard to imagine that an unspoilt and largely undiscovered picturesque region lies on the southern doorstep of the Gold Coast, but this is exactly what the Tweed Valley has to offer. This cruise highlights the diverse ecosystem of the Tweed Heads area (bordering the QLD & NSW states), and is the only rainforest cruise on the Gold Coast.

“ Was amazing. Easy to book and also to locate for boarding. The cruise was not only enjoyable but informative as well. The food was plentiful and delicious also the stop over at Tumbulgum was an added bonus. The feeding of the pelicans was hilarious and got some great video moments to treasure. Thank you.
Cruise and commentary were good. Morning tea was nice with freshly brewed cuppas. BBQ lunch pretty ordinary, sausages cheap, steak grisly and salads were pretty tasteless. Seafood looked good and feedback from others on that was positive. Overall a pleasant experience.

3 years agoI was looking forward to this and it didn't let me down, nice relaxing and very informative cruise, lovely morning tea to start we stopped about 12.00 and got off to stretch our legs while the crew prepared our lunch and what a lunch it was absolutely delicious. On the way back we watched the Pelicans being fed they fly in and land by the boat was a crew member throws pieces of meat to them this also attracts eagles and kites. A good experience my only bugbear was that it is not easy to find if you are driving there.
4 years agoBeen on the morning tea cruise before.. beautiful weather beautiful scenery wonderful staff and commentary.. fabulous trip to take friends visiting our beautiful border!
5 years agoWe all enjoyed our Tweed Valley Cruise found it very relaxing with good commentary an enjoyable morning tea, & with the pleasant staff we would thoroughly recommend this cruise to all. Unfortunately, we went on the 1st day of winter & the outward journey was into a southerly breeze which restricted view from the top deck, the main cabin was cozy & warm.
5 years agoHad a very relaxing cruise up the Tweed River to Tumbulgum, whilst the skipper gave a narrative on the area. A basic morning tea of tea/coffee and cake/biscuits/fresh fruit was served on the way upriver and the boat stopped for about 15 mins to feed the birds- mainly pelicans. We got off the boat in Tumbulgum and wandered around the town for about 50 minutes. On the way back to Tweed Heads we were served a very nice BBQ lunch, which included steak, sausages, prawns, salads and bread.
7 years agoMy friend and I went on the 4.5hr cruise and had the surf and turf lunch. It was a very pleasant relaxing cruise with beautiful scenery and abundant birdlife. The highlight for us was when the lady fed the birds from the top deck. There were huge numbers of pelicans, gulls, kites and others. It was awesome with all these birds flying around us squabbling for the food. Our meal was nicely presented and very enjoyable. The BBQ was cooked while we were ashore at Tumbulgum for 1 hour with nothing much to do except go to the historic pub for a drink. All in all, it was a great day!
8 years ago“The lunch cruises are highly recommended, the food is delicious. Grab a seat on the top deck as the views of Mt.Warning are spectacular.”
