10 months agoOur second day in Cairns was very memorable. After a hearty breakfast, my bestie and I proceeded to the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal. The staff of Down Under Cruise and Dive were very accommodating from check-in to boarding. Onboard the Evolution, we were greeted, briefed and assisted by a friendly and energetic crew. Though the day was cloudy, the outer Great Barrier Reef locations were breathtaking. Snorkelling was fun and thrilling. The instruction was provided for us and the crew were on hand to encourage and help us. We enjoyed a BBQ lunch prepared on board with fresh fish, steak, prawns and salads. We would have given it 5 stars if not for the missed opportunities to take good photos and videos with the underwater camera.
1 year agoThe staff was very friendly. If you are certified diving can do 3 dives in different places. Beautiful for a snorkel as well. Clean toilets and everything. Totally recommend.
2 years agoWe loved the whole experience! The crew were fantastic, the snorkelling was wonderful. The BBQ lunch was delicious. We hired an underwater camera from the crew & were able to capture some great moments! Thanks for a great day on the Great Barrier Reef.
3 years agoIt was the best I would say. The team is really good at organising the visit to the Great Barrier Reef. They are well organised. They took us to two reef locations. It was out of the world experience. If you are non swimmer they take extra care to make sure you are fine.
3 years agoThe best day out! Incredible vessel, extremely organised crew, beautiful locations and excellent safety protocols. We had the opportunity to swim with many kinds of reef fish and even a turtle! The team also took breathtaking photographs, which we have shared with family and friends. A must trip!
3 years agoBoat and staff excellent. Very very disappointed with the snorkel and dive locations, nothing there. We snorkelled and went on semi submersible only saw broken coral and lots of sand. Not at all what we expected from The Great Barrier Reef. Lunch was well catered for.
3 years agoThe crew on the cruise were awesome, helpful and very friendly. The cruise was clean and comfortable. Went to 2 different reefs and both were beautiful. The lunch provided was great and enjoyable. Cold dishes, beef, fish fillet, beef and prawns are great. Highly recommended this cruise. Excellent value for money.
3 years agoIt was a wonderful and delightful experience to witness the majestic and beautiful Great Barrier Reef, at 2 locations with the Down Under Cruise and Dive. 2 beautiful Snorkelling sites and experienced PADI certified Divers made the experience a very comfortable and memorable. Had a great time with them.
3 years agoI had a great time out at the reef! Even though there were quite a lot of people on the boat, it didn‘t feel that way at all. Everything was very well organised, from getting your equipment to making sure everybody was back on board after both dives/snorkelling trips! The reefs we went to were stunning and there was a lot of beautiful wildlife and fish to be seen! Would definitely book this tour again!
