A visit to the Willie Creek Pearl Farm is a must do WA attraction to include when you visit Broome. Just 1 hour’s drive from Broome through the striking Kimberley region, the famous award winning facility is open to the public and is a fantastic trip from Broome. On arrival, be guided through the process of modern cultured pearl farming on an interactive tour of the farm. Learn how pearl technicians seed and harvest oysters and discover exactly what makes the perfect pearl. The tour includes a mesmerising cruise through the crystal blue waters of Willie Creek where you will see live oysters in their natural environment.

You’ll also experience a live pearl harvest and learn about the process and care taken to choose the best pearls to transform into beautiful pieces of jewellery. There is ample time to browse in the showroom after the tour. The Willie Creek Pearl Farm Tour last 5 hours including travel time, and includes a morning or afternoon tea. We recommend a 4WD on the self drive tour as the road is partially unsealed and the condition of the road may vary.

This is one of Broome’s must do attractions. To learn about the Australian South Sea Cultured Pearls be sure to book the Willie Creek Pearl Farm Tour online here!

Our tour guide Maya was an absolute delight and wealth of knowledge. She added a side of humour to the tour along with answering our questions. One of the most enjoyable experiences set amongst some breathtaking landscape. The Willie Creek Gang are friendly, helpful and accommodating to all ages. Definitely one of the things to see and do in Broome!
We drove out, best to have a 4 wheel drive. We went early and had lunch there.

Loved the tour, interesting information, the boat ride was great as we got to see a croc. Nice they provide afternoon tea. We had lunch out there as we went early. Beautiful views of the water. Relaxing place to sit. The oyster process was interesting. Our guides were great and humorous.

An excellent day trip, educational, scenic and great staff.

This tour exceeded my expectations. I came away with a new appreciation for pearls and the effort and skill that goes into creating these beauties! If you don't have a 4WD definitely opt for the coach tour out there but if you can self drive it's wonderful to be able to take your time out there to look around. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Knowing nothing about pearls this tour was very informative and outlined hour costly and labor intensive pearl culture and harvesting is. Great morning tea with home made Mango beer damper - yum. This was our first experience in a helicopter with views stunning of the tide coming in on the flats. What a sight!! Thanks for a great 3 hours - well worth it.

If you are self driving out to the Pearl Farm, we recommend a 4WD vehicle as most of the road is unsealed. We suggest the coach tour option for a relaxing day out with an experienced tour guide.
