“ Really enjoyed this day tour with Kimberly Wild. It was a long day of travel but broken up nicely by lots of stops and meals along the way. The swim in the waterhole was refreshing and a lovely part of the day. Toby, our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and took time to answer our questions and talk to us about the flora and fauna around the area. Tasting the seed of the boab tree was interesting and watching the soapbush leaves in action was cool. Lunch was timed perfectly after exploring the gorge, and dinner orders were placed early in the day so that when we arrived at the roadhouse, they were fast to bring out the food. The Kimberly Beef steak meal was delicious! Everyone elses meals look generously portioned too. Trekking through Tunnel Creek was amazing, we spotted bats and a freshwater croc chilling on the sand! Your shoes will get wet in the tunnel so pack a spare or prepare for wet feet. The bus was comfortable and air conditioned, bring a booklight with you if you want to read on the drive back home after sunset as the bus doesn't have overhead spotlights for reading.

4 years agoAlthough there's alot of travelling, this tour is the best way to see some of the West Kimberley from Broome. You get a chance to understand the history and stories of the area before you visit them which deepens your understanding of the culture.
5 years agoI had a thoroughly enjoyable albeit long day visiting Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek, with Kimberly Wild Expeditions. How wonderful to sit back and let someone else do the driving, over the long haul. Our driver and his first mate were full of wonderful information and their genuine passion for the area and it's history, was contagious. I particularly appreciated the thought put into the order of the day. After a fresh and tasty lunch we explored, Tunnel Creek which was fascinating and far more interesting than I expected. Then onto Windjana Gorge, what an oasis and a geological wonder this spot is, how I would love to sit and take in a sunset or three here. The only disappointment of the day was the meal at Willare Bridge Roadhouse.
6 years ago“It is recommended to take shoes that you don't mind getting wet. You will also need to take your swimmers, towel, wide brimmed hat and personal water bottle. Dinner is not included but can be purchased on the return journey to Broome.”
