Experience the Australian Aboriginal culture in an authentic evening show and dinner inspired by real people and true events from the 1800’s. The Aboriginal culture is one of the oldest living cultures in the world and this cultural experience showcases the trials and challenges of British colonisation and Aboriginal life in the 19th Century. The story focuses on the life of Jarrah and his family as they navigate life changing events that are brought to life in this show. Engage and interact with the production as you move around three different sets and become part of the story. Set within an Australian town - see a historic church, pub and Indigenous village modelled on historic 19th century villages.
This 2.5 hour cultural experience is an authentic retelling of historical events with all actors direct descendants of families that have experienced many of the life events told in this show. A traditional Australian buffet dinner and dessert buffet are included and a licensed bar is onsite. Transport is available from both the Gold Coast and Brisbane so come along and learn more about the Aboriginal culture in the Spirits of the Red Sand experience.
Transfers are currently unavailable due to covid-19. All guests must make their way to the Beenleigh Historic Village, 205 Main Street Beenleigh QLD 4207
“ Had an amazing experience last night at spirits of the red sand show, it was worth every penny. The cast is brilliant and keep you immersed in the story for the whole show. Followed by fantastic food. Can't rate this high enough, must see for anyone in the area.
Had an absolutely awesome evening. Right from when we were picked up by some of the cast in town, till the end of the dinner. Really REALLY enjoyed the 1st segment...the dancing and the didgeridoo! The whole evening was engaging. We didn't get a chance to get drinks until after the show tho and then we couldn't use cash, however, the food was pretty damn yum! The whole experience was pretty cool - can see why these cool people are winning awards telling their story. I would recommend to others to take the opportunity to go see for sure.

3 years agoOur night at the Spirits of the Red Sand was an unforgettable experience. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The show was thought-provoking and quite emotional. I loved how the audience walked to multiple sets to see the different parts of the story. The music and dancing and the storyline were very powerful. This part of the night was amazing. But the food... the food was exceptional. Damper followed by skewers of emu/kangaroo/crocodile was a fantastic start to the meal. Followed by a very yummy buffet of vegetables/salads and roast beef/lamb/chicken. Everything tasted so yummy with such unique favours added to everything. But the absolute highlight was the lemon myrtle cheesecake - a masterpiece of deliciousness. I look forward to visiting again with some of my friends and family. I would highly recommend the show/dinner.
4 years agoInteresting concept and presentation. Good effort from the staff, but definitely room for improvement. The introduction by the pickup driver needs to be much better.
